November 2008 Cover Girls

November 2008 Cover Girls

From PBB cutie to showbiz hottie...
That's how MEGA Magazine describes Kim Chiu on its November 2008 issue.

To quote from MEGA Magazine:

Her smile can brighten any gloomy room. And that’s good, given that a positive go-getter attitude is what’s needed for one to survive in the glitzy yet sometimes not-too-glamorous world of show business. But she can handle it.
Yes, Kim Chiu can handle it.

Despite the onslaught of intrigues, personal attacks and criticisms (the latest of which is the anorexia speculation about her weight loss), Kim handles them graciously. Sometimes, not all the glitz and glamour of show business is good for one’s health, especially for a teenager whose energies—no matter how abundant they are—could easily be depleted. But she knows where to place herself, and she places herself quite well.

In fact, that was what she did to rise to the top.

Born Kimberly Sue Chiu, Kim is the first big winner of the Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen Edition in 2006, the panopticon-type reality show that has every Filipino teenager hooked. Born in 1990, she was 16 when she entered PBB and is now a legal adult at the exciting age of 18. She celebrated her debut with a bang last April 19, as the event was covered and aired by her Kapamilya station. Not every girl in the country has their debut televised, and Kim notes that the celebration is definitely one of the most memorable moments of her life…so far. And what a life this girl has had, so far.

FHM Philippines' issue this November, 2008 is extra special as it is their 100th issue featuring 5 of the most sought-after models in the country.

After her debut in the mag last May, 2008, Precious Adona is back in the cover this time with 4 first-time FHM Cover Girls.

In time with the airing of Pinoy Fear Factor next month, Gail Nicolas, who is one of the show's contestants, is also on the latest FHM issue and with this double treat, I must say, she has a promising career ahead of her.

Other girls in the 100th cover are Joyce So, Jacq Yu and Cherry Ann Kubota.

Bangs Garcia in the cover of Maxim Magazine for November, 2008 is a "delayed" move for the said mag as Bangs is no longer as popular as when she was launched as a leading lady for Palos early 2008.

She also has no existing show in ABS-CBN as of this moment, but she has an upcoming project entitled Humingi Ako Sa Langit which is set to premiere on January of 2009.

Anyways, let's give Bangs a try, as this is her first time to be a cover girl. Just like what Maxim describes Bangs, she is one of the fastest rising stars in Philippine television.

Also featured in the November 2008 issue of Maxim are model Mae Mclachlan and sexy star Nika Madrid.

Singer-actress Yasmien Kurdi is not yet ready for FHM nor Maxim, but not for Manual Magazine.

This month on Manual Magazine, Yasmien shares about her physical transformation and the reasons why she, at times, is attracted to "not so goodlooking" guys.
