Angel Locsin OK now with Claudine; talks about Gov. Vi

Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual

ABS-CBN contract star Angel Locsin said that she is now on good terms with actress Claudine Barretto after reports of a rift between her and Barretto surfaced.

Locsin said that she and Claudine do not even talk about what happened in the past anymore.

"Okay naman po, okay na kami. Actually hindi na namin pinag-uusapan. Noong umpisa pa lamang ay hindi na pinag-uusapan basta ang mahalaga ay okay na po," Locsin said.

It will be remembered that speculations started to come out about the actresses' misunderstanding that reportedly happened in July at a salon.

The two decided to keep mum on the issue until it was confirmed on "The Buzz". The issue was promptly put to rest when their camps met inside the ABS-CBN compound and in front of ABS-CBN executives.

Locsin said she chose to keep her silence on what transpired since it is a personal matter.

She said she maintains respect for her fellow actress.

"Ako po talagang malaki po ang respeto ko kay Ms. Claudine," Locsin said.

"Land Down Under"

Locsin took a short break after her television hit series "Lobo". She has started lessons in horseback riding in preparation for her upcoming film under Star Cinema entitled “Land Down Under” with Piolo Pascual.

"Super excited kami... challenge lahat maski yung behind the scenes. Kasi sa Bukidnon kayo mag-stay walang glamorous lifestlye doon. Pati sa Australia magte-tent lang kami or sleeping bags kasama namin yung mga insects ganoon," she said.

Locsin that she is ready to take all the risks while filming the movie.

"Actually excited ako dagdag kwento ko din yon pero huwag naman sana," she said.

Last Friday, August 29, Locsin and Pascual started to shoot the film at Pasugong and Malaybalay in Bukidnon.

They will be there for 28 days before they fly to Darwin, Australia to shoot the rest of the film and will be there for almost four weeks.

"Land Down Under" is another offering of Star Cinema for their 15th anniversary. The movie is directed by Rory Quintos and is set to hit the theaters on November 12, 2008.

Love life

Locsin is known for being quiet when it comes to matters of the heart. She said that she is happy to be part of the life of her rumored sweetheart, actor Luis Manzano.

She is also thrilled with the fact that Manzano's mother, current Batangas Governor Vilma Santos has acted favorably toward her.

"Sobrang masaya ako at idol ko siya, fan niya ako at nai-star struck pa din ako sa kanya hanggang ngayon," she said.

Locsin told abs-cbnNEWS.com how good she feels that Manzano's family really welcomed her.

"Mabait po naman sila talaga. Ang pakiramdam ko kahit sino ilagay niyo sa gitna ng table nila ay magiging comfortable talaga wala silang kaere-ere, big time na tao pero napaka-simple, simple talaga," she said.

Locsin is Angelica Colmenares in real life. She was born on April 23, 1985. She started as a teen star in ABS-CBN then moved to GMA-7. She rose to prominence after doing the TV series "Mulawin" and "Darna."

After her contract expired with the network, she signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN in a major career move.
