Actor-host Luis Manzano said that he will always be there to support his mother actress and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos.

His words stemmed from reports saying that Santos is a strong contender for vice president in the 2010 elections.

In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Manzano said that if his mom decides to run for the post he will definitely give his support.

“There’s no question na suportahan ko si mommy,” the actor said.

He said that some people speculate on the vice presidency but his mother never says a word about it.

“Si mommy never nagbitiw ng kahit anong statement, ang mga tao ang nag-speculate,” he said.

The actor said that for now he will not think of the political matter until his mother decides to tell their family.

“Wala pang sinasabi. Sabi ko nga until she files for candidacy or actually starts for campaigning saka ko na iisipin iyon,” Manzano said.

Manzano who is a mainstay of ABS-CBN’s weekly entertainment show “ASAP ‘08”, is also busy taping for the network’s upcoming fantasy series “Dyosa.”

In the series, Manzano will portray the role of Kulas, childhood friend of Dyosa or Josephine (Anne Curtis), with whom he is secretly in love. He is also a merman (a male being who is half human and half fish) who will play a special role in Dyosa’s life.

Luis Manzano or Luis Philippe Santos Manzano in real life is the son of "Star for All Seasons" Governor Vilma Santos by actor, TV host and Optical Media Board Chairman Edu Manzano.

He co-hosted the recently concluded reality show "Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus". He is also set to do a movie under ABS-CBN's movie outfit Star Cinema soon.
