Lorna still misses Daboy
By Bernie Franco
"Habang tumatagal mas lalo mong nararamdaman (ang pagkawala niya)," actress Lorna Tolentino shared in an an exclusive interview with The Buzz yesterday (August 23) about still feeling at a loss over the death of husband Rudy Fernandez. She said that in her prayers, she would talk to her husband and ask for guidance. "I ask for his help to be around me most of the time kasi mas nararamdaman ko yung absence and it’s not good. Habang tumatagal, the more na nararamdaman mo… lahat," she explained.
LT also added that she feels Daboy’s absence even more now that she has to stand as both the mother and father to her children. "Kasi ngayon may mga bagay na kailangan harapin mo bilang isang ama at isang ina. Nasa akin na ang responsibilidad. And I can’t show my weakness because of my children."
The actress confessed that there were emotions she tried to bottle up during Rudy’s last few days, and these emotions are now taking their toll on her. "Medyo nararamdaman ko physically… kung gaano kabigat yung dinaanan namin. Parang there will always be emptiness inside." With Daboy’s death, LT and her kids—Ralph and Renz—sourced strength from one another, and their bond grew stronger. "Mas alam namin kung nasaan ang bawat isa sa amin. It’s about grieving and what we’re going through. How we can slowly heal kasi hindi naman minamadali lahat ng bagay."
On the other hand, Lorna also talked about her rumored switching of networks. "Both (television networks) may offers sa akin," she said. "I will finalize everything by mid-August. Of course I need to work. It’s part of growing and moving on." She shed light too on the issue of her returning to host Startalk, GMA-7’s showbiz talk show. "I feel that sa lahat ng pangyayari, ito yung phase in my life na parang gusto ko munang huwag magkaroon ng showbiz-oriented talk show," Lorna concluded.
