‘Kahit Isang Saglit’ set to debut on September 15
By Rachelle Siazon
ABS-CBN makes another groundbreaking project with its first major co-production with Malaysian production company Double Vision via the series Kahit Isang Saglit starring Carmen Soo and Jericho Rosales. Formerly titled as A Time For Us, this drama/action series revolves around a law enforcer (Jericho) who is in hot pursuit of an alleged criminal (Albert Martinez) hiding in Malaysia. Carmen plays a wealthy shipping heiress who’s driven by her desire to find her Filipino father who went back to the Philippines when she was still young. The two will cross paths through unexpected circumstances and will be bound by the web of intrigues surrounding their lives. Will romance blossom between two strangers who come from completely different places and cultures? Will their love stay alive as they both go in search for truth, justice, and hope?
This exciting premise coupled with the team-up of one of the country’s hottest leading men and a Malaysian superstar have people clamoring for an early airing of Kahit Isang Saglit, which was originally scheduled to air later this year. As it is, Filipino viewers can hardly wait to see the strong chemistry between Jericho and Carmen on the small screens aside from the scenic locations where they shot some sequences.
Aside from the said lead stars, Kahit Isang Saglit also brings together for the first time well-respected actors Christopher de Leon and Albert Martinez. Cristine Reyes is also set to wow the viewers again after her impressive acting in Maalaala Mo Kaya last Saturday, August 23.
A tribute to Manong
The change of the title from A Time For Us to Kahit Isang Saglit was made in honor of late Direk Gilbert Perez who made his first movie of the same title starring Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual back in 2000. With the series as his last project before he passed away, the initial teaser for the show was released last Monday, August 25, during the Primetime Bida block in time for the commemoration of the 40th day after Manong’s death. Jerry Lopez-Sineneng has since taken over directorial duties.
