In the August issue of Working MomMagazine, celebrity homemaker Donita Rose shares what makes her life very fulfilling nowadays. From her past super hectic days as a product endorser and MTV VJ to her current stint as Umagang Kay Ganda host, Donita shares the different kinds of blessings that having a family has given her.
She gushes about her husband of five years, entrepreneur Eric Villarama, and gushes even more about their son JP. “There have been many trials in the past five years and even more so in the past year. When you first get married, you don’t know what you’re getting into. Sometimes circumstances can turn two of the nicest people on earth into the ugliest people,” she shares in her interview with WM.
The hands-on mom also talks about three-year-old son JP’s advanced skills when it comes to spelling and reading, which she helped enhance by buying several educational toys. JP turned out to be a fast learner and natural performer, being able to spell even the more difficult words just right after his second birthday. “Next thing you know, pinagyayabang ko na sa buong mundo. He became like our church mascot at Victory. Every Sunday, all the parents and kids would gather around him to listen to him. He would put on a show!” Donita proudly shares in the interview.
The couple, who just recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary by renewing their vows in an intimate ceremony held in Tagaytay, also showed their wacky side throughout the program. This was done because of the couple’s belief that renewing their vows at this stage was more meaningful because some marriages don’t even make it past the five-year mark. “Eric and I have done a wonderful job of always trying to improve ourselves and to commit to love each other in spite of our faults,” the UKG host says in the interview.
