Iñaki and Christian are on probation
By Patty Ramirez
It seems like the scholars failed to impress the jurors and mentors alike with their sensual numbers in last Saturday’s Gala Night. And the bottom four scholars were particularly disappointing for the mentors for a lot were expected from Iñaki, Bunny, Christian and Miguel.
However, the mentors felt that Miguel deserved to stay another week inside the Academy and took him off the probationary list. The scholars, on the other hand, felt that Bunny has just started "finding" her voice and should continue with her studies. This left Iñaki and Christian to battle it out this week for their spot inside the Academy.
On the brighter side of things, Headmaster Ryan Cayabyab was very happy to announce that Bugoy was this week’s Star Scholar. The lad from Camarines Sur was pretty speechless when he accepted his class card in front of his classmates. Bugoy got a total score of 8.80. Laarni and Liezle, meanwhile, tied in second place each receiving a grade of 8.73. Third place went to Apple, who was very happy to get a grade of 8.07 from the jurors.
Aside from the announcement of probationary and top scholars, Mr.C also announced the theme for this week’s gala night – a trio. The scholars must group themselves into three and choose a song from a list. The headmaster had to approve of everything though so the scholars gave everything much consideration. Iñaki and Christian were the only exception from the trio rule and must present a duet because of their status.
